Follow-up to Knee Injury

So guess what? Just as planned six weeks of therapy and you'd never know I severely injured my knees. All it took was finding the right doctor. I can now RUN, yes RUN, up stairs, nevermind being able to do it without pain. And I just got cleared to actually start exercising again - can you believe it! I'm estatic! After the first week I was out of pain, after six weeks, I don't have to sit down after walking for 20 minutes, I don't look at stairs as huge challenges anymore, not constantly worried about reinjuring myself.... Just good stuff all around. :) The doc said it was like a case study because of the type of injury (twisted bones) and the hypermobility. Course I also would've never gotten the injury if I wasn't so flexible in the first place, but it was just interesting to watch the body heal and adjust itself (with help of course) and the problems just ... go away... once the bones were realigned. The only reason I had any pain at all was because the bones were rubbing each other when I'd climb stairs, and from the inflamation from my muscles having to constantly work in a way they weren't supposed to - stretched out. It was just so frustrating trying to get this fixed and being able to do certain things - like fly down stairs, but then have to crawl back up them - because doctors just either didn't know or didn't know enough about what was going on to accurately diagnose it. I'm so thrilled I have my mobility back! It really cost a lot to get this fixed (only because Chiropractors aren't covered by Kaiser), but it was the best Christmas present I could have ever given myself!
